Please---this was one of the better, most clever and funny films I've seen all year.

Now, while were on the subject of dumb - you want to know what's really dumb? Writing a seven word headline, followed by a one word post agreeing with ones own headline.
I think it's a lot like the situation those same directors/writers created with Crazy, Stupid Love; some bits are much cleverer and sophisticated and well crafted than most of their competition but the execution is just...off.
It doesn't hit a lot of the marks, but hits others with precision so you end up with a movie that on one level appears to be a smarter-than-your-average-film film but on another is just an average, nothing-special film, and then on another could arguably be considered a "dumb movie pretending to be smart".
It's not as clever as it thinks it is. But also probably not as dumb as you're suggesting it is.
