Liz and Doreen - Season 5

Am I the only one who suspects that Liz and Doreen won't appear in Season 5?

Maybe I'm reading too much into this but the last we saw of Liz was when she agreed to testify against Sonia, and was promised immediate parole in exchange. In addition to this, she and that rather handsome policeman seemed about to embark on a relationship.

Meanwhile, Doreen was upset about Nash moving to Perth and Liz suggested that she apply for transfer to be nearer him and the baby. It was a casual, passing line but it caught my ear ...

Maybe it's me but these references just seem too satisfying in conclusion for the characters to return ... what does everyone else think?

I think Liz will be in S5, her triangle with Sonia and the policeman doesn't feel finished. Also the way they both called her Elizabeth when they first met her has me very suspicious that they're working together, maybe. I don't know, it just seems to good to be true!

But I do think Doreen will be written out, apart from wanting to be transferred to Perth she has no story line and her parole is coming up. I would say I don't think the writers would get rid of Bea, Liz and Doreen all within a few episodes, but Bea died so I guess anything could happen now. and basically the only thing we know about S5 is that we're getting a bunch of new characters, so Doreen kind of feels like dead weight going into the new season.

Interesting point, I hadn't actually noticed that they both addressed as 'Elizabeth' ... I hope you're right, as it would be good to see that storyline continue. Either way, I hope Sonia comes back ... she quite clearly has a lot scope - that final scene when she began shaving Maxine's hair ... freaky.

As for Doreen, yes - I agree. Would be nice to see her make the odd guest appearance in the same way as Franky and Toni did.

I hope so too, she's clearly a psycho  but with her wit and general attitude, she could be a very entertaining psycho.

Whilst I agree, it would be quite cool to see her upgraded to the new antagonist of the show and maybe go head to head with The Freak, provided it's done properly and not just for pure camp entertainment ;)

God I really hope so! Their story lines were boring me to death. I look forward to some new characters with different backgrounds and stories.

Btw really like Sonia and her creepy vibe haha.

It would be good to have some new characters, provided the current ones aren't completely pushed aside - how the writers handle the next season will be the make or break for Wentworth. I think ...
