Will we EVER find out....

.... what Joan said to Vera's dying mum?

For some reason it bugged the cr@p out of me that we never got to hear it. Some may say it's not important. But to just dangle something like that at us and then never explain it seems a tad unfair.

I always thought by the rules of screenwriting that when some secret gets told that it eventually has to be revealed. Like the rule of having a gun on stage during the first act meaning it gets fired in the the third. Or the scientist whispering to Rick in The Walking Dead. We didn't find out what he said till a season or two later BUT WE STILL FOUND OUT.

Hope it's the case with this - even if Joan just reveals it in some snide comment to Vera. Whatever it was I'd love to know - that old woman looked scared out of her wits!

She may have told her that Vera was planning to kill her. I can't think of anything else that would have frightened her as much. Joan never said it to Vera but she somehow helped Vera to that train of thought.

It bugged me too. It seems that somebody deciphered it though, so apparently this:

I thought she just had threatened to kill her, so I was surprised that Vera did it herself and frankly I don't blame her.

So go on. Kiss me. Kill me. Do something.

In Glasgow Pamela Rabe said they filmed her saying different things so really she's not sure which was used. Someone awhile back cranked up the volume and said she heard Joan say, "At work she's the best and she's nothing like you."
