Why were they written out of S4?

The actor who plays Fletch moved on to a different show and I think they had just run out of a storyline for him considering his whole mission for last 2 seasons was to expose Ferguson and she is now exposed and arrested. I will miss him a lot but I'm glad he got a happy ending and has gone off to the country to live in peace where no body can send a hit man after him or try to disable him. As for Rose... I don't know, I'm also wondering about her...

i dont buy that. as long as vera was on the show there was always a story. they were great together. wentworth has been a victim of actors leaving since s1 starting w/ erica's character that had to be rebooted into bridget. show doesn't receive enough praise and acclaim as it should and therefore prob doesnt get enough of a budget. shame

I just caught a line in ep 4.1 where Will says Fletch is now farming sheep, so I guess the character is gone for good.

I've found no indication as to why Nina, the 3 nurse, is gone, though. I liked her so much more than the new plastic, fembot nurse added in season 4. What the hell happened to Nina? Was the actress unavailable for season 4?

Yes, lol, Rose Atkins, she was much better than Lee Radcliffe. I wish she hadn't left, she treated the women well and was sweet, Radcliffe you can already tell she is not.
Both Rose and Fletcher's replacements are horrible, Jake is awful and he is meant to be but the character is not enjoyable to watch being the bad guy.. I'd rather have Fletcher around being an *beep* over this guy.
So go on. Kiss me. Kill me. Do something.
