Who else thought that Frankie...(s4 spoilers)

Who else thought that Bea was going to get a hold of Frankie to let her know that the guy was killed and Ferguson was being released and that Frankie would then shoot her during transport? They made such a big deal about Frankie taking the gun and putting it in her pants and then did nothing more with it.

But yeah, Bea can't really be dead!

You're right about that loose thread. I was just wondering how this show can survive without its main character but reading your thread reminds me that Frankie can carry this show and if she can commit a crime with that gun and return to Wentworth to face Bea's killer, that would be a good premise for continuing the show. That's their best way forward IMHO.

reply

That would be a pretty good idea, actually, if they went in that direction. Otherwise it is hard to imagine how it will work without Bea.

We were told they shot 4 different endings, maybe Franky's was one of the endings we haven't seen yet? I felt like her story ended in an unresolved place, I was expecting to see her at least once more after she kept that gun.

and yes, Bea is dead. She got stabbed with a screwdriver 13 times 

reply

When she had the gun in her hand I thought she was gonna get busted with it and break parole thus being sent back to jail. As much as I love and miss Francesca Doyle, that would devestate her to get sent back to prison. Im curious as to how she and Maxi will take Bea's death in particular. No doubt Bea is dead. Like I said on a previous thread, she lay there motionless with her eyes open. That is as good as dead lol. As much as I love Bea like the next person, Ive come to terms that she is dead.

reply

Ok but she did the same thing when Joan drowned her.

reply

Her lying there emotionless with her eyes open doesn't mean she's dead. Have you ever seen Cold Case? Kathryn Morris' character was shot in the chest at the end of Season 4 and was lying seemingly dead with her eyes open for quite a moment. She was brought back by the next season good as new. The same could be the case for Bea. We don't know yet, but don't just jump to conclusions already on her fate.

reply

Don't you know, we're detached from reality. Even though they've showed nothing on screen saying she's dead. And even though a decent amount of show runners have lied lately about characters and their fates, we're the ones in denial and are SOOOOOOO far off the mark.

reply

Yes, we're detached from reality, but this show does have a very realistic style to it you can't have something like "Sleepy Hollow" creeping up in it where some one can be brought back to life with a medallion in seconds (rather odd "Bones" crossed over with it as realistic as that show looks). It's a very slim chance Bea could survive, but we don't know. I'm on the fence with this one, but there's no denying that she does look like she's met her end here.

reply

I understand what you're saying. However, I think it's significant that Danielle has yet to address the fans. Apparently, she's actually tweeting about season 5.

My thing is, I have absolutely no problem if she is dead. But, I also realize that there was no confirmation of her death within the realm of the show. It doesn't matter what show runners and other actors say, it isn't official until the story line says she's dead.

Also, if she didn't die initially, then she wouldn't be brought back to life. She does look like she's met her end, but we all know what looks like and what is are incredibly different in many cases.

reply

I guess we're just going to have to wait until Season 5 to see what happens, but hopefully before hand we learn some news on what to expect from the season months before it airs. Like I said, I'm on the fence pretty much, but I'm leaning more towards her being dead than alive. I'm only hoping she lives so she can see Allie is alright. But the last episode so played off like it was the end of the road for Bea and she just had nothing else to live for. She's not top dog anymore and seemed to believe Allie was a goner.

reply

We did see her after she kept the gun. She went to visit Bea and they discussed that Shane was the back up plan. And she that's when Will came to get Bea to take her the phone for an Allie update.

reply

Maybe it's all the Hannibal I've watched ,but I believe that if people on TV can have their stomachs cut open, get shot through the face, set on fire, throats slit, etc. And STILL make it out alive, then Bea can pull through , too.

reply

Exactly! Lol people are applying real life logic to this for some reason. It's like yeah she got stabbed like 10 times or more, yeah, Ferguson twisted the knife, but this is TV.

reply

I think it was just supposed to make us think something was going to happen. I also thought she might get seen by cops or something, and they'd think she was gunning for Joan. But I don't feel like it was unresolved. She got the gun, helped the kid, and that was that. I liked the role she played in the season. I didn't need more, or some dramatic ending to her story. She was able to find a purpose outside of prison.

reply

I liked her role this season too. It's amazing how much she has evolved. Seasons 1-2 she and Bea were at each others throats and come season 4 and they are having heart to hearts, hugging, and having each others backs. I just love Frankie. She is an awesome character.

Frankly has grown up a lot as the series went on.

At the start of the series, she was a troubled girl, had issues, no contact with her family etc.

Now, at the end of season 4, she is out of jail, got a good job, has a girl and is now reunited with her dad and half sister.

If Franky does return for season 5, I'm interested to see where she will progress too.
