Some comments on final season (with spoilers, blacked out)....

First, when it comes to historical shows, when are these creators going to learn that smoking is not acting - even if the character smokes. This season could have been cut in half if they had edited out all the pointless cliched "contemplation while smoking" scenes. Just lazy writing. I would love to see a script of this - Tommy wakes up, smokes. Tommy goes to bathroom, smokes. Tommy farts, smokes. Tommy eats toast, smokes. Tommy thinks, smokes. Tommy breaths, smokes. Just ridiculous.

Next, and my biggest complaint about the season is when it comes to Tommy Shelby-like characters, His character was such an all-around miserable and despicable character that the creators failed to establish any reason for viewers to give a shit about his outcome. Not only that, when his little girl dies, hardly any empathy toward Tommy exists. Now, in contrast, at least the wild and dope fiend brother was likable because the creators give reasons to like him and his behavior.

Overall though, the program is one of those programs of rare quality.

And Tom Hardy. I could watch this guy read the side of a paint can.
