Can the mistakes of The Last Jedi be corrected in episode 9?

.....and if so how?

Im a white male who is as old as Star Wars, been a fan all my life, and I don't feel disenfranchised at all. I liked the actual story beats here, I only took issue with the sloppy plot structure from a fairly inexperienced writer.

"There are as many cases of Leia being kind, caring, grateful and helpful to Luke and Han as there are acid-tongued comments."

Yeah, emotionally abused wives also often talk about how their husbands can be so sweet in between instances of abuse.

So who is "completely incompetent or useless throughout" in this trilogy?

Also:
"superwoman who eschews male help or companionship"

A guy who does his own thing and is capable: Expected.
A woman who does her own thing and is capable: Misogyny.

LOL

Of course you're not implying anything about Rey, considering she is seeking male help from Luke, and she's nowhere near hyper-competent. Her mindless attachment to Jakku held her back for 14 years and she wanted to keep waiting, for no reason. She screwed up and destroyed Han's freighter, almost got Finn killed, and almost got the Falcon destroyed. She was easily captured by Kylo. Then later she spends the majority of her saber fight against Kylo simply trying the same lame "forward thrust" attack repeatedly while running away from him until she focuses on a magical power that allows her to overcome him (oh and he had to be badly damaged for her to win as well, including taking a shot that could scatter Stormtroopers the way a grenade would).

"I think you'd be wise"

I don't think I would be seeking wisdom advice from you, but it's nothing personal.

The Ackbars are pleased with you since you speak the truth.

Goodbye to my old friend Star Wars.

Dalton with all due respect they could've passed the torch in a more respectful manner. Instead they disrespect it by screwing up luke really bad.

“A lot of people simply refuse to acknowledge or believe it.” Or we’re just fine with it.

TLJ will make an easy 1.5 billion after it has been released in China.

I think the Asians and Chinese alike will love the Rose and Finn story. But we shall find out in due time...

Your right, I forgot about the Finn poster fiasco. Maybe the Chinese version will have that scene cut out who knows.

Aside from the dump truck of money and promise of greenlighting any project of his dreams, I have no idea why JJ would even bother returning to this trilogy. All of the groundwork he laid in the first film has been discarded. And what if he did make a great conclusion to the first film? There's just gonna be this sore thumb of a picture stuck in the middle. It's embarrassing. Maybe Rose will fall off a cliff and Finn will just shrug his shoulders and say 'meh" at the start of the film. That'd be pretty damn funny.

Still a better love story than "Twilight".

One thing I worry about, it how the can revive the REBELLION when it's down to maybe a dozen people and their leader is doomed? Sure the First Order is miserable and people hate it, but at this point it'd be easier to start various new rebel groups than to revive the old one. Are there outlying groups and stragglers who are going to come in? Are there allies who are going to change their minds and start supporting the REBELLION again, once they realize that Snoke is gone and an idiot is in charge? People who believe in the Jedi religion who will join up because of Rey? Is Princess Leia going to save the day again, before she leaves the story?

Come on, it's possible to actually discuss the STORY, and not just bash or defend the film!
