Considering they couldn't possibly escape the blast radius of whatever it was they were bombing?

The same way Poe and the others avoided getting sucked out of the airlock that they opened to let Leia in: By cutting to another scene.

Star wars has already shown that a force field can allow objects through it. Like the melinium falcon landing on the death start that blue rectagular light is the force field that allows the falcon in but keeps the air in as well.

True, and hopefully they thought to install those kinds of force fields on the doors to the bridge (which isn't truly an airlock like I mentioned, just a door).

I imagine ships are filled with forcefield carptarments for hull breeches.
