Such a bad movie

I cant even force myself to rewatch it

I haven't rewatched it either, which is unprecedented for a Star Wars movie. I'll wait for it to pop up on Netflix and then reserve ultimate judgment for that time.

It also ruined TFA for me because of just how terrible they connect, or don't connect I should say. I'm pretty sure that Ruin Johnson didn't even watch TFA, except for the final scene, which was obviously required.

This is pretty unbelievable really. I could forgive a lot but not this - the lack of continuity from film to film. I mean, they must have known this was an issue. They just take the audience for morons that won't care (which described the critics perfectly).

Same with Rogue One. I actually quite enjoyed the film but it doesn't tie in with ANH which is its ONLY PURPOSE FOR EXISTING! To tell the story of how we got there! And they could have just made it fit: just have the troops fleeing Vader managing to send a transmission before they get sliced and diced and bingo - it fits. But nope. It's like they're going out of their way to break Star Wars.

from the word go its just horrendous , tried to watch it last week , cant get based the awful jokes "message for general hux"

It just shows that if a director is going to do a trilogy, he/she needs to direct ALL of the films to ensure that they actually fit together. There are some occasions where someone steps in and manages to keep the series on track, like ESB, but I think Lucas still had the final say on where the story was going.

Imagine if Peter Jackson did "Fellowship of the Ring", and then he handed "The Two Towers" to Michael Bay. That's how this this new Star Wars trilogy feels.

I liked it, and disliked it, but not trash at all

Rewatchability seems to be a problem for these new movies, for me its: seen Force Awakens twice, seen Rogue One once, seen Last Jedi zero times.
