If you HAD to own ONE movie from the Disney Trilogy, which one would it be?

For me, it would be Rise of Skywalker, simply because it sums up Disney Star Wars and Star Wars in general in one movie, it has Palpatine back again (a perennial fan favourite), it has cameos galore, it says goodbye to the Skywalker Saga, and it reminds one of how bad or formulaic the first two Disney movies are, so they are not necessary. And it has THE most overblown evil villain plan in all of Star Wars, hyped up to 1000.

What about you?

reply

None. I don't and never will own a single one of them.

reply

Same and I haven't download either of the first two.

So, if you had to own one movie from the original trilogy, it would be the Holiday Special?
It had it all: Luke, Han, Leia, lots of Wookies in general and it says goodbye to the time when Star Wars used to be good.

reply

I have the Holdiay Special! I don’t have Last Jedi. I’ve watched the Holiday special more times than episode 7 and 8 combined. And had more “fun” too. :)

reply

. . . so death isn't an option?

reply

Assuming bargaining my way into not owning any was not an option... yeah, I guess RoS. To watch in pure schadenfreude as the culmination of KK's failed dumpster fire and the vindication of the fandom.

reply

That's what I was thinking, too.

reply

Whichever one makes the most attractive coaster.

Maybe tlj, because no movie collection is complete without the worst movie of all time.

reply

Rogue One. Sure its not part of the trilogy, but it reminds me of more hopeful times when Disney were getting stuff right.
