To be honest, that's another good point. It definitely was drawn out. The first escape should have been it (for the torture).

I think they should've left out the human trafficking stuff altogether and just had the men torment Katie in her apartment while she walks the streets of New York City searching for revenge.

no. they had to invent a reason why she could escape but then not be able to go to authorities.

I respectfully disagree. Watching her get beaten and raped that long and much was disturbing to watch and made me feel real bad for her (even though its just a movie) but the good part about it was making the revenge even that much better. It adds to the "oh hell yeah" factor.

Actually Ivan didn't. His pain was unrealistic though; a man whose organs just got destroyed by a vice wouldn't be conscious, possibly even alive, let alone able to suddenly spring up and CHOKE a woman. A guy directed this?..
