Questions...........Spoilers

1. How did she end up in Bulgaria? I know she was put in a box & drugged but it would have taken several days for her to get there. They went on a airplane so how did the box get past security?
I thought she was still in N.Y. but in a part that is foreign.

2. When the blonde woman wanted to stop by her house to get Katie clothes, wouldn't Katie have noticed that she was back at the same house that she escaped from?

3. When Katie was screaming down the street in Bulgaria looking for help why were people not helpful at all?

4. When she first saw the American Embassy why didn't she go in?

5. Why not ask the priest for help? He was kind.

reply

I just saw this and I can answer 2, 3 and 5.

2. She never saw the house, she only saw the basement and crawled out of a window to get away. She probably didn't see the front of the house since she just ran wildly away. That's why she realises when she gets down the stairs that uh huh she's back in the basement. Though why she wasn't suspicious of a woman claiming she keeps all her "spare" clothes in the basement...

3. Because she looked crazy, they didn't understand what she was saying and in real life some people just don't help people in need. Like those instances where people have been suicidal and on a tall building or bridge and people just walk past and don't try to stop them or worse stand around shouting at them to jump. That actually happens so random girl screaming in the street getting ignored isn't that unbelievable

5. He was a man and she's just been raped and tortured by a group of men. She doesn't know him and has no reason to trust him even if he does say he only wants to help.

Yes, this type of behavior happens all the time...even within the same country. It's called the "bystander effect." Its name was first prompted by the "non citizen action" and murder of Kitty Genovese.

4 - Common Sense - Revenge is a dish best served cold.

W T F would the American Embassy even do ? Give them slaps on the wrist ??? It's like tell your principle in school, what happened and nothing gets done or very little consequence. She wanted revenge because even if it got her killed, it would've been worth the risk.

Also, keep in mind this - when they drugged her, in her own apartment......they forced her to have prints on the knife; to stab the fellow who lived in her apartment complex too. HOW in the world would she be able to "add" this as part of her story on "why" these guys are dangerous and why she needs to get home. The Embassy would've put something on her, even if she's 110% innocent. So when she went to the Embassy at the end, what story does she need to share, except "I wanna go home" ??
