We could be watching The Originals instead of Crazy Ex Girlfriend

Thanks for nothing CW. Vampire Diaries and The Originals made for a good 1-2 punch on Friday night.

But I want to see Crazy Ex Girlfriend hit 0.0 in the 18-49 demo... how will I get my kicks otherwise? I'm more concerned the CW is going to panic when it drops to 0.1- and do something stupid.

Despite fan excuse bingo, Crazy Ex Girlfriend is dead next season. Their music budget apparently is astronomically expensive and the CW can't afford to drag a show, even a CBS show with awards to four seasons if no one's watching. It doesn't even have more total viewers, we're talking about a show few people were watching even on DVR last season.

So as long as it doesn't make the CW do something stupid with The Originals' schedule, I would just enjoy watching their scheduling implode. Besides, the post Vampire Diaries timeslot is toxic and did enough damage last season. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is welcome to it... :)

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is good though! You should give it a chance. I didn't think it was my thing but I watched on Netflix over the summer and it's a really clever, funny show! If you want to blame another show, Supergirl was the show that bumped Crazy Ex Girlfriend to Fridays, or No Tomorrow, which is currently wasting the post-Flash spot.

On the up side, IF this formula works, TO could survive some more seasons.

Hellllll no my friend, this gives TO a better shot at a future, with Crazy Ex on now (which is good as dead) TO will either replace TVD in the 8 timeslot, or could be moved from TVD altogether and be put on maybe Thursday with Supernatural, which will defitnely up its chances.

Hmm very interesting line of thought. BTW I read a tweet that it is coming back on 17th Jan which I believe is a Tuesday.

Idk if that's better or worse than Thursday, The Originals and Supernatural fit together well, although it is CWs chosen night and this show won't mesh terribly with The Flash.

It'd be laughable for the 5th time in 4 years, TO would be moved again, but I'm open to it since anything is better than their Friday 9 slot, most folk who watch it, started because of TVD, those who watched TVD back then are most likely graduated and are doing things on Fridays, it's so ridiculous to put a show with what you would think is mostly a now older audience on Friday. Same even goes for TVD.

Except for Friday, I think all slots will have same affect. CW has flash on Tuesday I think right now. The only program that might conflict with my live viewing is NCIS which comes on Tuesday's too.

The bottom line is that if they want people to choose their program over others then they better improve their writing and kill the competition but I guess that is very difficult approach hence this musical chair.

The Show has been steady reviews, but it's a matter who knows and how they know this show airs. This show has the asterisk of being a Vampire Diaries spinoff, because of immature reasons, there's a portion of audience it's losing, it's also been moved every year even though its ratings didn't hit sharp decline until S3, which was its third slot, only to be moved again 10 weeks later. The Vampire craze is over for now, which means TO isn't going to out beat the current superhero craze, and that hurts solely because 4 of CWs 10 slots are Superhero shows. Supernatural, TVD were the only non- superhero shows actually beating TO until it's 2016 move to Friday's. It's just been completely shafted by CW.

reply

yep and the lack of promotion will also do that.

Oh yeah there hasn't even been one commercial spot promoting TO move to mid season
