I just saw the actor who portrays Kol (original Kol) is in the upcoming WW2 drama Hacksaw Ridge. I am unsure how big the role is, but noticed him listed under cast. The movie looks emotionally beautiful, so hopefully this helps propel him.

It looks like he's playing the main character's (Andrew Garfield) brother, so it probably won't be a major role. People have said before on his IMDB board that they look alike.
I'm glad he's working on other projects and hope he can make a name for himself outwith this show. As much as I love Kol on The Originals, Kol the character and Nathaniel have been poorly treated by TVD/TO. He hasn't been back filming for The Originals in over a month, so he'll be written out for some episodes next season. I hope we get pictures of him back on set soon.
