Show has a lot of religious themes throughout.

Starting with Judaism: the judge is probably jewish mesiah Moshiach

Jaha is very similar to Moses. City is Light is the promised land
Gnostisims
In the arch-dualist ideology of the various Gnostic systems, the material universe is evil, while the non-material world is good
Karma (Hinduism)
Clarke doesn’t believe in Karma. Her daughter keeps repeating her action trying to save everyone

Nirvana (Buddhism)
No suffering is transcendence
Forgiveness (Christianity)
Clarke keeps asking for forgiveness keeps repeating mistakes in the end is saved. And let’s not forget that Kane was actually crucified.
