Wtf scene with the monkey?

Seriously, this movie was full of weak plot lines and forced scenes etc, but come on, Am I the only one that found the scene with Stiller kissing the monkey just wrong and sick?I mean what the actual freck were they thinking with that awful scene?

Not cool, perverted vibe right there..1/10

reply

I was really weirded out by that scene too. I don't know what they were going for with that scene, but it only managed to make me cringe A LOT and confuse me.

Two consenting adults loving each other? What does it matter what you feel? Don't be specist.

reply

Yeah...ehm...you guys might need help.

reply

We need help because we found a scene where a guy affectionately kisses an animal for 20 seconds and then kisses it again,on the mouth, weird? I think that you are the one that needs serious help.

The monkey was doing it a bit too long on purpose, to gross out Stiller's character. Remember, this is the same monkey that likes to pee on people.

Stiller's second kiss is perfectly normal. There's nothing sexual in that one, it's just a peck on the mouth.

reply

Yeah it was weird but the point of it was to show the relationship between them has grown over the last two years. Capuchin monkeys are affectionate animals, and Dexter was a little *beep* in all of the movies so it was supposed to be "cute" but it was gross. So I agree but it was supposed to be cute.

reply

I don't know. People liked the monkey, and to tell you the truth, my daughters kiss their cats all the time.

reply

I kiss my cats on the head or the nose, but I don't sit there and play tongue tag with them. This scene was nasty, wth were they thinking?

reply

Yeah, my daughter kisses her cats more than she kisses us, but she doesn't kiss them like that!

reply

It's not unusual for people to kiss their pets. The first kiss was the monkey's idea, and the monkey was holding it, probably because monkeys don't know how to human kiss. The second kiss was Larry returning the kiss, to show he also felt affection. I didn't see any tongue. It was kind of sweet, especially since the monkey had been smacking Larry through all the movies.

Way too many weak parts. Flogging the dolphin???? Kiss my staff???? Kissing the monkey???? Lava in a museum??? Peeing on lave???? Huge Ackman???? Lancelot a bad guy???? Laaa????? He tells Ricky Gervais that everything in the museum comes to life at night and he just accepts it without question???? Ben Stiller???? The whole dad and son relationship was really weak and strained. The plot was weak. The whole movie was just a money grab.

Snakes....I hate snakes

Just to clarify, in many of the legends Lancelot is a complicated character. He falls in love with, and sleeps with, his best friend's wife, the Queen. Not only was it wrong for him to betray his friend, he also committed treason because she was the Queen. He was a good knight but a flawed man.

The monkey kiss was so disgusting. I understand why they did it as part of a gross-out-but-kind-of-cute-moment but it did not work at all. I was never a fan of Ben Stiller, so I really only watched it for Robin and the side characters. There were some nice moments, but most of it was pathetic.

reply

I thought it was cute because he was saying goodbye. The two may have had their differences, but in the end, they reached an understanding.

Nothing cute about that ugly, disgusting monkey and all of its scenes.

Stiller does some gross things for laughs. Remember something about Mary?
