Mercedes? what the F does it mean?

Evie leaves with her pals in a Mercedes........plates 12N MP1

Kevin In his (death Hotel sequence) drives Patti to the well in a Mercedes (the exact one) and the one he sits in the car port with the dude that helped him kill himself as they see Patti drive up......

license 12N MP1.

Had to edit both Texas plates, so no confusion.

someone figure that one out for me, I'll buy you a Bomb Pop from the Ice Cream Man the next time he pulls around.

reply

Funny just noticed also. Good catch

It just clicked in my head, that car looked so familiar. Then I noticed the plates and went back to see if they were the same. Yep, they were.

My question is why is this the same car?

I have no idea. I sure hope someone smarter than me (which is basically 99.999% of the planet) can make a bit of sense from it.

So I have a German car and it physically wont let me lock the doors with the keys inside. (they left the keys in the car with radio playing)
If I open the door and get out, and push the power lock or manually push the thing near the window down. As soon as it detects that I've closed the door it automatically unlocks it again. It just wont let you lock the doors with the keys inside.

Kind of a plot hole unless they somehow took the car apart and rigged up a door sensor to not know they are closing it. Its not one of those button sensors you could just hold down with tape, its inside the door on the latch. Eh i think about stuff too much.

Watching the last episode for the first time now - think about these things right away cant help it. Kinda takes me out especially since i thought of it right when they found the car still locked up early in the season.. figured it was proof they vanished and not ran away. But its just technical error on writers part.. eh

Thank you for the "mercedes" explanation. Would you be able to help on why the plates were the same?

Why is Kevin driving Evie's friends Mercedes?

The #1 I would go with on belief of the show............... I am not trying to ruin a show I love, this is the best show I have scene on TV in "like" a decade. As a writer you cannot use this tactic to fool with us for no reason. Unless you follow up on it.

#2 I will accept that.

But I absolutely guarantee you that they had NO IDEA of why they put in the exact same car to develop a story.

Just a slam a beer and move on segment I guess.

I love the show!

I cannot explain to you enough how this show (redundancy) ......

But this little tidbit should have been addressed.

Just tell me why they are driving Evie's friends car.

That should be quite honest question.

I think it's #2.

PlasmaEddie, I really enjoy your comments. It's good to know there's intelligent life out there.

Thank you for the lyrics to that brilliant song.

Just how do those lyrics explain why Kevin is driving Evie's friends car?

reply

[deleted]

Yes, however why is he driving in Evie's friends automobile?

They did that for a reason.

I am asking why?

The show is great, I will not dispute, but it leaves so much interpretation.... Which leads to conflict on such things.

Excellent answer

Why is Kevin driving Annie to the well in the exact same car that Evie left in?

and no Hotel California can cannexplain it.................... Unless they played the song.

Enjoy your day

I always thought that everything Kevin sees in purgatory is connected to what he experienced/saw in real life. He touched the car, remember? His handprint was on it, he feels guilty for it. That's why it exists in "his" purgatory.

Plus he saw them right before he almost died in the lake. He pictured Neil and young Patti from the stories Laurie shared with him and he saw Mary there because that seemed like a logical explanation of her condition.

It was Kevin's dream and he using things that he knew. I really expected to see Dean the Dog Killer there since he was sent to help Kevin in Season 1.

I'm not sure about the license plate, but the white vehicle is something I attribute to the white worn by the GR's. The Guilty are the girls' secret, thus the white car they drive as they make their escape. When Kevin drives it, he is still being led by a member, even though she appears to him as a child. Remember, little Patti wants him to throw her into the well and is anxious to go. She is pushing him along...thus the white car.

This is my siggy. It appears, automagically, when I post.
