Did they ever say why Aimee was staying with Jill and Kevin?

I can't remember if they did or not, was her parents departures on the 14th? or was they just away on a trip or something?

Thats what i love about these high school girls, i get older they stay the same age.

I seem to have gotten that impression so I think it was hinted. I don't know if they were abusive or just neglectful.

Its weird if she lost her parents wouldn't social services or something like that put her with her closest living relative? Seems unlikely she would just be left to crash at whoevers house without having a legal guardian or anything.

It wasn't said, but I don't think her parents departed because in one scene she said "if I lost someone that way..."

Then again, there's always possibility writer messed up.
