So my PVR is playing silly sh*ts and it decided to skip through the last minute or so. Could anyone tell me exactly what happened after Morse took the collect call from Leamington? Who was it from? Why did he throw the phone at the wall? What was the tarot card all about?

The phone call was from Joan (though she never spoke, just hung up) and Morse still feeling frustrated threw the phone across the room (presumably with everything else that has been going on like being drugged, his recent exam application deliberately being withheld etc, this hasn't helped lol).

I think Morse was also probably very frustrated over the episode with Miss Pettibon...she basically offered herself on a plate to him, but he knew it would be wrong to take advantage. It must feel pretty rotten to be told someone loves you but know that the woman you really love has disappeared.
