Fantastic homage to the original. This is how Star Trek should be

So I just finished watching the first 3 episodes and boy have they nailed it. The Adonais episode story resolution, Orion girl episode was really done well and so touching with the Hulk guy and the sequel to Mirror, Mirror, a classic, were done so amazingly well.

Capt Kirk has Shatner's mannerisms down really well. While his voice isn't as deep as Kirk's his swagger walk and stance and delivery style match Kirk so well. Spock is beginning to grow on me, esp in how he performed in Ep3 Who's the Fairest of them all? His line "captain kirk....I shall consider it" just gave me goosebumps.

Bones was decent but looks like the actor changed in Ep 3. He's a tough one to nail honestly.
Scotty, Uhura, Sulu and Chekov esp are done quite well. The new addition in Dr. McKenna is different but I really like her. She gives a nice vibe and looks beautiful and is so wonderfully endowed reminding people of the 60s look even more with their costumes.

The attention to detail in the bridge, sounds, layout, camera angles, camera quality, voice acting, dialogs and general feel of it is just astounding.

I can't imagine how much was spent on all this but I will definitely support them somehow.
They deserve it. Hopefully they also make more.

So far, I'd rate the episodes as :
Ep 1 - Adonais one with the same actor - 9/10
Ep 2 - Lolani with Orion girl - 9.5/10
Ep 3 - Mirror Mirror sequel - 8.5/10 - I was hoping there'd be a final twist and Spock prime would be doing all this for nefarious reasons but given it is Star Trek with happy endings, they went that route. Still, given it is a parallel universe, I was hoping they'd go with a parallel of dark ending.

I am so looking forward to the remaining 8 episodes now. There's 0 ads, no commentary, no comments to distract and just 50-52m of pure awesomeness.

If I were to hazard a guess, the remaining 8 episodes probably cover - Edith Keeler episode followup, the 60s space ship rocket launch followup, Harry Mudd followup, A piece of the action follow up since they promised to check in, Miri follow up maybe and what else am I missing?

Tholian Web follow up? maybe Amoeba one? Or maybe it will be brand new content based on some ancillary characters.

Overall, I'm so glad I found this accidentally. This was truly epic.

Standing claps to all actors and actresses and director and producer and all involved who made this so amazing. I hope the new ST people learn from this. Apart from Strange New Worlds, the other new additions were abysmal trash esp from Discovery which was wretched, illogical and just so bad I turned it off near end of S1. And then the mega turd aka Picard. So sad to see ST reduced to this nonsense when people can make such wonderful content on their own dime and time so true to the original vision. Only SNW is worthy ST.

Midview rating - 9.5/10 for ST: Continues.

Finally finished all 11 episodes of Star Trek Continues and imo it is a truly truly amazingly well made Star Trek that will make all Star Trek fans and Gene Roddenberry and others proud.

The attention to detail is just incredible including the lighting and the way it fell, the way stars look murky and the dialogs and acting and the finest of little details picked up so well.

Vig Mignogna is truly amazing as Captain Kirk and he is a really great actor. Spock was amazing honestly. Blew my mind with how superior he is to the modern Spocks. Bones was great. Scotty was just like his dad, a carbon copy done so well without overdoing anything. Chekov was fantastic. Uhura was great and got such great lines. Sulu was done really well just like the earlier version.
And the new additions were fantastic and filled out the transition perfectly from the ship counselor McKenna who acted so well and is so beautiful and the Ms Barbara Smith helmsman who was so good in her role.

The final episode was just done so reverently and kept the pathos and vibe of the show so well.

"To boldly go where no man has gone before" indeed. Live Long and Prosper, all of the ST: Continues crew. You have made us all proud.
