Matthew Goode, really?

So, from the beginning they try to sell you the father as this badass immortal underworld king vampire which you don't even know if he is going to be in the movie, and in the end they finally show him with the camera slowly going to him show him from his feet to the head and a close up to his face, and I was ok cool lets see how they choose, Michael Shannon, the guy who play Home lander in the boys, Michael C Hall? And end up being Mathew Goode I almost fall off my chair laughing.

There wasn't better options? Why not the Undertaker that would have been awesome, he doesn't even need to act that guy presence is badass, and he has been basically playing that role is entire life I bet people would have loved that surprise

Or any other beside this guy, his acting choices were cringe he was trying to over compensate to appear intimidating, but the way he played this character doesn't have sense, a brainless hungry animal cant create an empire, I would believe this character being more collected and calm with a powerful pretense that intimidate without the need of making weird faces and gestures

Really odd casting choice

That role was *begging* for a big name. As you said, the character introduction is so well done but then they show his face and it's disappointing.

Yeah, I was kinda like, "Huh?"

I thought he worked great, looked like an ancient vampire and I'd love to see a backstory on him.

I AGREE..IT SEEMED TO BUILD TO A BIG "CAMEO"...THAT ISN'T TO BE...BUT GOODE DID WELL WITH THE PART...HE WAS FINE.
