Cate Blanchett and her speech
I thought Cate's acceptance speech was really classy, but apparently there's a lot of ire over the fact that she dared to even mention Woody Allen's name: https://medium.com/24-frames-per-second/31d4bb05c62b
Are people really getting that upset that she thanked the guy who wrote the film that won her the award? I know Allen's personal life has pretty much blown up, but he's still responsible for getting Blanchett to that stage, where she made a beautiful speech that was, for the most part, not about him.
