Bill is a horrible character

This show had so much promise. The idea was solid. I think was Bill was a horrible character. I hate when a show is short on plot and uses filler like Bill and the Sadie/ex husband story line.

In the book Bill was a very short-time character, but his character was massively expanded for the mini-series which makes sense to many who read the book and saw the role he filled (without something like Bill, the series needed a TON of voice-over narration....probably hard to understand without having read the book)

Interesting. I thought Bill was good, and incredibly well acted.

The ex-husband storyline was terrible, bordering on caricature. Same thing with the Dunning family storyline (although I liked Harry). Too melodramatic with one-dimensional villains.

And all the pieces matter (The Wire)
