Would Dennis be arrested in the end???

I know this question has been asked a million times about the ending....But at the end would Dennis character be charged? I feel like he def was going to be and be doing either prison time or probation. But either way he just ruined his families life. Because he def would of lost his job with Carver and be stuck now paying for a lawyer, court fees and fines...Carver I feel would have lawyers on retainer ready for this situation or he would have certain police/prosecutors already paid off to just give him a slap on the wrist and on his way. Basically I feel in the end Carver gets away with it and Dennis gets in trouble and loses all the $$$ he had made and would be back to living in a motel or homeless shelter.
