Bear proof tent or 44 Mag?

You are helpless from a bear attack in your nylon tent. When in bear country, make sure you have a tent with a back exit, make sure you have a weapon handy at all times, a handgun or an ax, or homemade spear or softball size rocks and of course, bear spray.

Or you could invent a bear proof tent and make a fortune.

Or you could not watch this movie and just pretend this almost never happens and you have nothing to worry about.

This happens more often than people like to think, especially with black bears who view humans as food.

But to answer your question: Neither. You want to put down a bear, you'd better be carrying a 45-70. I dont go berry picking in the woods without one slung over my shoulder. The again, I live in Alaska.

My vote is for the 44. Plus bear spray. And maybe a flame thrower. And a grenade or two.

44 only if you're carrying high grain bear loads. Cabelas sells them, they're twice as much as regular rounds but I wouldn't fire anything less at a charging bear.

.44 Mag with bear loads as mentioned earlier on this thread. No to the bear proof tent, but only because I recently saw on YouTube a video where a lion in a safari park opened the door to a car by pulling the outside door handle with its teeth.

How hard could pulling a zipper be? [jk] 😁

Terrible things Lawrence. You've done terrible things.
