She's sabotaging herself.

She was very uncomfortable when she found out Mesa Verde was going to start expanding like crazy. Mesa Verde has always demanded a lot of focus and work. Her broken arm was a consequence of all the hard work and late nights she had put into Mesa Verde and she has now realized that no matter how good her work there is, Mesa Verde will just keep squeezing the soul out of her. So she's starting to realize there's no point in doing her best for those guys, because at the end her health and well-being will be the only ones affected. That's why she's a criminal lawyer now, it feels more rewarding to help people in need and it's something she can handle very well.
