Hilarious, but isn't Mike Tyson still a convicted rapist?

yeah he was convicted of rape. I don't know much about the case. just wiki'd it. he is a different man, though. a lot different. if you ever watch him in interviews today when compared to the interviews from the 90s and whatnot, you can see the drastic change. he has talked about how he was just a terrible person back then.

Robert Downey, Jr., Robert Mitchum, and Stacy Keach have also done jail time. Are you going to point that out too?

Ya, because, you know, drinking and drugging yourself into unconsciousness is just as morally terrible and life ruining as raping someone is.

Rape, schmape!

Oh. Well all is forgiven, then.

Yeah, he was convicted. But the victim sure was naive to go back to his hotel room at 1:00am thinking that they were just going to "talk" What woman out there thinks that what people do at hotels? Oh, yeah, one other woman, the girl that Kobe Bryant banged up the ass and finished on her face. Ladies, men dont invite you back to their rooms to talk

I think Tyson tore up Desiree Washington as she said she was a virgin or only been with one guy. She expected a relationship, Mike didnt. he hit and quit it. And when he didnt return calls, she cried rape. And of course it looked like rape. Mike has a huge hog and Ms Washington wasnt used to something that resembled a thermos.

Okay, Tyson went to jail for rape, the others went on drug charges. Then again, didn't Downey break into someone's house and was found sleeping in their child's room while under the influence? The fact of the matter is Tyson went to jail for his crime and is free to get on with his life. Downey and the others also did their time and are free to get on with their lives.

If we want to REALLY get on an actor's case for their criminal past, let us look at Charles S. Dutton. Dutton did time for manslaughter, meaning that he actually killed someone. Granted, Dutton didn't have an acting career before he went to prison, but he certainly made the most of his opportunity. Tim Allen and Danny Trejo also got into show business after doing jail time. But, I guess, they can be forgiven since it wasn't rape as well either.

Tyson was arrested in July 1991 for the rape of 18-year-old Desiree Washington,
He was convicted on the rape charge on February 10, 1992. On March 26, 1992, Tyson was sentenced to six years in prison followed by four years on probation. He was assigned to the Indiana Youth Center (now the Plainfield Correctional Facility) in April 1992, and he was released in March 1995 after serving only three years. His agent couldn't find any work for him, so he ended up with this dumb cartoon. What a looser!

Well, he'll become tighter as the show progresses. Or do you mean "loser", loser?

The parents of the kids shouldn't be letting them watch Adult Swim or Mike Tyson Mysteries.

reply

Daniel_Lugo beat me to the explanation: first, this show is on Adult Swim, meaning that it's not meant for children. Second, at the time that this show airs, most little children would be asleep. Third, if they do see it, they aren't likely to know who Tyson is. Also, even if they watch it, it's the parents' job to explain Tyson's place in history. Both in boxing and his criminal past.

I agree it's really time to let it go.

Sadly, there will be people out there that aren't prepared to do that.

The past is the past. And this show is all kinds of crazy funny

"isn't Mike Tyson still a rapist?" Charles S. Dutton and Huddie Ledbetter killed people before they became famous. Danny Trejo went to San Quentin for attempted murder and other crimes before he became famous. Roman Polanski drugged a child so he could have sex with her and has directed eleven feature films since then.

Many/most/all U.S. presidents are mass murderers, yet guys like Bill Clinton who appear on various TV shows are warmly welcomed.

Resurrecting a dead post, but it's amazing how just a couple or 3 years ago, most people are like "he did his time, let it go", and now a days with all the "Me Too" movement, how it's changed.
