Could Valak see into the future?
As soon as the girls use the makeshift Ouija board, the Bill Wilkins entity makes its first appearance the same night, but it was obviously possessed by Valak, somehow knowing that the Warrens would eventually make an appearance.
I can only guess that this is the reason it invaded the family's house in the first place?
