The soldier says he's been in Afghanistan for the last 2 years and JUST got back. Right after, he says he has a 7 month-old waiting for him at home. Why was no one at least mentioning the clear discrepancy there ?
The obvious explanation is that he got cheated on while he was gone. Could be that he was blatantly lying to get sympathy. But really, NO ONE is mentioning this at all ? That's the weirdest thing about this movie for me.

As prior military I was deployed for a year on a couple occasions. I got leave halfway through each time. I still say I was deployed or gone for a year.

Makes sense then. Probably could have been better explained in the movie for most people watching probably aren't military. But to be fair, the movie wasn't the smartest thing ever made lol

Exactly. Usually two weeks of R&R, at least in my personal experience. This is listed as a goof too and definitely isn't necessarily right.
