FFS Hollywood, enough with CGI dogs!

Oh if only dogs could be trained to do stunts and tricks, oh wait, THEY CAN!

These dogs looked so bad I wondered if I was watching a Rodger Rabbit universe where animated and humans live together!

Because Hollywood is so Woke now, they probably consider the use of live animal actors to be unethical.

Agree.
The CGI dogs look bad.
CGI's one of the reason why the new horror movies aren't scary anymore.

Particularly given that this movie uses period music, taking it from a fantasy period to a historical period...then it goes back to cartoony CGI dogs?

Incoherent and inconsistent movie. The director made a disappointed attempt by creating an unrealistic world. By unrealistic I don't mean a magical or fantasy world, I talking about an unconvincing reality in which the characters operate. We the audience not sure what's the vision of the director about the movie. It's a mess, as you said he move from one genre to another.

I watched this movie only because I like Emma Stone.

What you mean by racial pandering?

BTW I didn't think it's a bad movie, it's full of flaws, average, wasted potential, but It's was enjoyable at parts. Similar movie, Maleficent, I stooped watch after 15 min.

I didn't see any problem with the dogs. I doubt anyone could craft better CGI dogs. The reason they used them is because dalmatians are notoriously hard to train.
