What type of worms are on the Space Station?

Are Mike's worms real? More importantly what type of worms are they?

I think they were just supposed to be earthworms or something like that.  But I have no idea whether they were real or fakes...

They look like Tomato Horn Worms that eventually turn into Five-spotted Hawk Moths. My grandma got them on her tomato plants every summer.
