I'm starting to think the way they portray Josh and the other 20somethings, is the way that some people (i.e. the writers) THINK that Millennials are, which would explain beating us over the head with age and pop culture references from both sides... and making it seem like 25 year olds all act 15, and all 40 year olds act 70.

I've most often heard 1980-1996, but I think it swings towards the later end (like 89-95). If you had social media or a smartphone in high school, or the 2008 economic crash was in your teens (where it would've had a most direct affect on your formative years), then you're a true blue Millennial imo.

I'd say 80-87 are early Millennials with some Gen X traits from their 90s childhoods.

Millennials don't constantly talk about how they're millennials

I totally agree with that statement. Many of the true millennials I have "met," rarely talk at all. Many of them are too busy staring into their phones to actually speak. It is funny walking into the lunchroom at work where you see groups of people sitting together. Us "older" folks are talking and laughing while some of the "younger" tables are quiet as church mice, not looking at each other or speaking just individually sitting around the table playing with their phones.

Of course, they haven't known each other as long as the rest of us have been working together, but sometimes I do wonder if they would even recognize each other's faces outside of the work place.

In fairness, not all of the new folks are like that, and please don't get me wrong, they are all nice as individuals, but there is a dramatic difference in many of their interactions.
