For Logan, a moment director James Mangold decided to cut proved to be crucial to the film's whole tone. On the Logan Blu-ray, due out Tuesday, there are a number of deleted scenes, all of which have commentary by director James Mangold. They are allĀ ... read full story on Hollywood Reporter

Well, that's depressing. It is a good thing they decided to delete that scene. Doesn't really seem to fit Charles' character either.

How's this?

Don't think I've ever seen an embedded image in a post on here...

These news items were automated posts from MovieChat.

Interesting, thanks.

That google link shows they were links off to different sites. But there's no numbers after the user names, so I guess these are all imported IMDb threads.

But, given that the images are showing, I wonder if that means there's a useable tag to get images in now...

reply

I meant that a MovieChat bot posted these.

You think moviechat rather than IMDB?

I thought moviechat had just imported the old boards / threads, didn't appreciate they were adding content at one point (all seem to be 6/7 years old).

Here is the announcement from the sysop. /1/1/59041f1ba3778100115e9df0

"You'll now see a "News, Rumors & Gossip" tab on the general discussion board, as well as on people/actor boards. This pulls in recent news from a variety of sources for the particular person, or general entertainment news in the case of the general discussion board. Replying to these news stories will create a new thread with that story (under the "Threads" tab). Hopefully this can generate some discussion ideas, or just keep you up to date on the latest news."

The "News ..." tab is gone, but the automated posts remain.

Thanks.

So definitely via moviechat's own news stories. But translated into a regular thread post. So if we can see the tagging method used, presumably we could add our own images.

reply

I doubt there is such a tag. There is no need for tags in these News posts because the "bot" can put html directly into the post. And also this site emulates IMDB forums which didn't have embedded images except emojis. At some point the plan must have been to implement emoji tags like [cheers].

moviechat.org/emoji/imdb/cheers.gif
moviechat.org/emoji/imdb/bounce.gif
moviechat.org/emoji/imdb/popcorn.gif

And there is this: /formatting

"Note: Directly embedding images is currently disallowed due to security reasons."
