Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard

She deserves an award for her role this season. She was so good.

Touché

She won't win any major awards, because for some reason comic book acting doesn't get you an award nomination. Same with David Tennant as Killgrave in Jessica Jones, no recognition.

Really? I thought she was horrible. I can't stand her mannerisms, she looks so fake to me.

Initially I wasn't sure about her twitchy mannerisms, but more and more I've come to appreciate her performance. She's delivered some pretty powerful scenes -- the one where she revealed some dark family secrets to her daughter when they were hiding out at Rand's building comes to mind. I'm a total fan of her performance now... she's possibly the strongest character in the cast.

Theo Rossi's Shades also deserves some recognition. In the second season, the writers and Rossi have done an excellent job of making him a more nuanced character compared to season one. He has his own code of honour which means that you can't completely hate the guy.

It's disappointing to know this series is over... it's better than Jessica Jones for sure.
