What is so scary about this doll?

It does nothing other than just sit there. I get the conduit expository crap but quite frankly it's simply not scary apart from the initial shock value of seeing the doll.

It's processed by an demon. The cult woman had the doll in her hands and before she died (I think) some of her blood had dropped onto the doll and that's how Annabelle became a haunted doll
