In 'Rise' there was a news scene on the TV about humanity's first trip to Mars (possibly an easter egg to reference the original POTA). Anybody think this would be a great opportunity to introduce the space exploration/astronaut storyline? I'm disappointed so far that this hasn't been introduced yet in this reboot series.

Why would they remake a classic, DarkKnight?
This is clearly a trilogy. The apes will win the war, thus planet Earth become officially the planet of the Apes itself. So there will be no way to go for more movies, the only logical move is to make another trilogy.
The next movie would be called "Rise of the Planet of the Human," followed by "Dawn of the Planet of the Human," then ended by "War for the Planet of the Human" in which the human wins and the planet become once again ours.
