He had the best shot at winning against Trump but they didn't vote for him. 95 % of black women voted for Hillary! And more crap about voting for a black president, only because he was black. ALl stupid. That same guy has bombed 7-8 countries, some even african.
Probably because Bill Clinton was very popular with the blacks and figured Hillary was would be too. Plus most people thought Hillary was going to win.

shareFirst of all, MOST AMERICANS WANTED OBAMA TO RUN AGAIN. They were terrified of Trump AND Hillary. There was a survey that showed that if Obama could run again, people would vote him back in office. Now the poll didn't compare him to Trump, but Obama left with 60% approval rating.
I think the public is STILL scared of Trump but willing to take a different turn because he's not politics. He's not government. But if the Republicans & Trump think Americans are going to go along with vouchers for Medicare and cutting SS benefits (I didn't get a cola this year) they are mistaken. And I'm doubtful about the Obamacare "repeal" because they don't have anything in place.
As for foreign relations, if Trump wants to make nice with Russia, I say go ahead. We won't be in a war with Russia anytime soon and it seems that Putin wants to conquer the world -- let him, at HIS cost, not ours.
I just don't like how Trump lies and twists the truth. Denies this, denies that. Maybe he'll learn. But right now he has Pence covering his arse.
What the eff does that have to with anything? Who cares if he had a 60 % approval. He didn't make things better. He would probably win against Trump, but I doubt with a huge margin. Bernie would have won with a higher margin. And they didn't vote for him, at least black people. So they shouldn't complain.

There is no way that Trump would have won, because even a lot of republicans now admit that they voted for him because they despise Hillary even more, like a lot of progressive who are to the left of a party that is now just the GOP with abortion. First of all, get rid of money in politics and restore democracy, and for God's sake, fire all the people in the DNC e put some real progressive on it and don't listen to Obama, who first tipped the scale in favor of Hillary and now is cock blocking Keith Ellison to please the mighty campaign donors.

shareUninformed voters aren't just a black problem, they're a problem across all lines in the US. Uninformed white voters put Hillary Clinton on the ticket just as much as uninformed black voters did. Uninformed white voters put Donald Trump in the White House.
I wouldn't say that the majority of uninformed voters are lazy or stupid, though. Many of them have bigger, more immediate fish to fry, coming from lower ladders of the socio-economic spectrum. They didn't have access to the best educational resources growing up and they're too busy worrying about how they're going to feed their family to spend their days reading up political blogs and critically analyzing the media.
Have you also noticed that most so-called democracies in the developing world are run by oligarchs and dictators? It's easy to manipulate a system in which the common people are supposedly the ones with the power if those same common people are deliberately or systematically kept uninformed and deprived of resources. Both the Democrats and the Republicans here in this country are aware of this.
I might add that as a gay (white, lower middle class) male, I got really frustrated to see many mainstream gay rights groups like GLAAD rallying around Hillary. It bothers me that the public face of the gay community is affluent and white and doesn't represent those of us who came from other socio-economic and racial backgrounds. The unabashed support for Hillary from the upper tiers of gay advocacy completely overlooked Bernie's much longer track record of support for the gay community and never questioned Hillary's long-standing skirting around gay rights issues that only budged when it was convenient to budge. Their support was all about money and not about the people.
This is a problem with the left-wing on a grander scale - We saw high-profile celebrities without many real worries like Katy Perry and Lena Dunham publicly supporting Hillary and completely ignoring Bernie, except to chastise the few celebrities who stand behind Bernie like Susan Sarandon for not standing behind the party line.
Bernie lost black voters the same reason Hillary lost Rural. Didnt seek them out and go to their neighborhoods. Hillary been working on getting the black votes for a while. Going to churches and resturants, and towns
Now one may think that stuff is dumb..but so if having to go to bowling alleys, town fair. So is getting mad you may lose your health care when you voted for a guy who would do just that.
Even people on Bernie stuff admited they didnt think they could win..so didnt run the campaign like that till later, when Hillary had a sizble leade
Also think while some Hillary voters may turn bernie or Rual voters off. Think some Bernie guys did turn black people off. Heard comment calling them dumb, uncle toms and what not. Not even if people think people who vote for hillary are that. Are you GAINING any votes with that attitude.
That makes perfect sense and helped me understand it a lot better. But how about the celebrities that do have access to be critical thinkers and good education on subjects? Like all black celebrities (almost) voted for Hillary as well. That to me didn't make sense either.
shareThere's really not that much at stake for celebrities, as they have money. They'll vote for the status quo because that's what's most likely to keep them where they are. The prospect of social upheaval brings uncertainty for everyone, and why would the wealthy take that chance? You would think that, for Katy Perry, for example, the prospect of a fanbase with more spending power would be better for her as well, but then consumers are still going to buy her music and concert tickets no matter how poor they are.

shareFrom what I've read, minority voters didn't bother coming out in the last election in the numbers they did in 2008 and 2012. Hillary wasn't QUITE the same as Obama.
