Why didnt this make 1.5b like Avengers 1&2?

this was an Avengers movie in all but name (ok MCU fans know its Cap America 3 but the average moviegoer not catching or knowing every single Marvel film would see poster or trailer and think 'ooh another Avengers film')

Its the much anticipated 'verses' film Cap America vs Iron Man ..

Last Iron Man made near Avengers money 1.3b (coming off the incredible 1st Avengers movie)

Last Cap America film was best reviewed MCU so far (and did more than double Cap America 1)

Its the introduction of MCU Spiderman.. (ok no Hulk/Thor but a new frickin Spiderman!)

Trailers made it look like either Cap or Iron Man would die..

Best reviews of any MCU so far (even Avengers and Winter Soldier)

Yet 'only' 1.1b?? (thats near same as Cap Marvel and notably less than Black Panther) Youd think it'd be at least 1.5 maybe more

Obviously what mustve happened is Ultron just previous summer although did same box office as Avengers 1 was thought of as something of a let down 'mid' movie, and that must've prevented CW doing equal or more box office (similar to what happen with BvS - Justice League), whereas Infinity War was coming off one of the best MCUs so far in CW (and had all of the MCU characters in it and was an even bigger event: Avengers vs Thanos )

Also maybe.. BvS coming out just a couple of months before mightve sated audiences anticipation abit (not only bc its a similar 'verses' movie)
