So I just watched Dr. Strange. Thor shows up to Dr.Strange place and asks for his help in locating Odin.
So does that mean at the start of Thor-Ragnorok that they will not have a acr where Thor has to figure out that Odin has been replaced by Loki? If so.
Is that just to speed up that movie or having Thor figure out that Loki is faking his death and hiding out as Odin just slow things down?
The scene from Dr.Strange is very likely from Thor 3. I expect when Thor went back to Asgard that Loki already thought of an excuse. It will have to be a pretty great excuse for Loki and Thor to work together again.
They go on Earth looking for Odin, Thor and Strange may run into Hulk instead.
When they were shooting Ragnarok recently in 'New York' (Brisbane, Australia) they showed Thor in the streets holding a business card for Doctor Strange with his address. So if this is used in the movie, then it implies there is a prequel to the credit scene in Dr Strange.

shareI hope it's the former. Make it less of a slog if they solve the obvious mystery instead of beating around the bush to pad the running time.
What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.
