The concept is not really that far-fetched. The story is very much like the verismo operas that make up a lot of the core repertoire.

And in 2011, an opera based on the life of Anna Nicole Smith premiered at the Royal Opera.

The song she sang with the "invisible" (techno) orchestra was just awful, gave me a headache!
