Commentary track

Was anyone else who listened to the commentary disturbed by James Franco's incredibly rude, condescending, and dismissive attitude toward Tommy Wiseau throughout the entire track? I was kind of shocked listening to it, unless it's a game between both of them (which I kind of doubt). Every time Wiseau began to explain something or answer a question thoughtfully, Franco would cut him off or turn it into a joke. At the beginning of the discussion Wiseau even said to Franco, "You always interrupt me," yet Franco kept doing it over and over. He also seemed to be trying really hard at the end to get Tommy to say that the original movie was a failure and that he was upset that he didn't get the reaction he hoped for. It's almost as if he WANTED Wiseau to feel bad about it. Wiseau, to his credit, refused to take the bait.

I listened to it and felt that while it would be inappropriate for me to talk to Wissau that way, James Franco has known him for a while and closely collaborated with him to make the movie and portray him. So he probably is more comfortable busting his balls.

Yeah, and while I haven't heard the track, one must assume that after a while Tommy would really be exhausting to be around. As much as Franco has probably had to be around him over the past several years, it's a wonder more hasn't happened than just getting a little short with one another every now and then.
