So, I Really Liked/Loved It!

And yes, I could live without a season two, but as a HUGE Oz fan I would definitely watch. It ended a bit ambiguous, but more leaning towards a follow-up. Unlike "The Event" which really p'd me off with it's cliffhanger ending.

Oh since I watched it a bit spread out, I seem to have forgotten what they said about the witch of the South? (In truth Glinda was the South witch in the books.) But I'm drawing a blank, East died, West was the rock-star and Glinda was North. Anyone know off the bat to refresh me?

BTW, I have a cat named Ozma, she was born in 1997 and turns 20 soon. :)

The Mother Witch was the Witch of the South. Apparently she's the only one who can reproduce witches. Everyone thought she was dead, but then when young witches started popping up, West accused Glinda of keeping Mother South hidden and breeding for her army of witches. In one episode, West begged Glinda to see their mother, but Glinda refused and West was crushed emotionally.

Check out Tarsem's The Fall if you want some more of his visually beautiful stories while waiting for s02.

The bat is infact Roquat, a.k.a The Nome King (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nome_King) the most evil character in the Oz series, if there is a season 2, i hope they recast with a major actor, they had Deonforio in season 1, someone just as good in season 2 for Roquat would be great

Where did you see a bat? The character you're talking about sounds terrific, I just don't remember seeing a bat.

I remember flying drone monkeys and the Beast Forever, but not a bat.

reply

The shadow of the flying thing looked like bat.

Gee, I thought the shadow of the Beast Forever more resembled a dragon, or a really big bird.

His character is likely to be a Giant Bat like Marcus from Underworld 2, since he wore human skin, we can assume he is some form of a shape shifter so could take multiple forms
