Like her face, it's like a cross between inbred and down syndrome. At least they got Ellie's mannerism right though, she's perfect for that part. Looks like she is also returning in S2 and not being replaced.

To me she looks definitely different. She reminds me of people from the back country in Kentucky. A lot of them have very large prominent foreheads. I was pondering that maybe they chose a girl that had minimal sex appeal so as to make some of the more intimate scenes look more parental and not romantic.
Also, her previous character on Game Of Thrones was completely devoid of any sexual characteristic.
Because in some of the later scenes in the finale Joel's possessiveness and dominance of Ellie, lying to her, and deciding her fate, was almost on the borderline of an abusive boyfriend
There were rumors she wasn't coming back in S2 because she was too old or something.

Bah, clickbait titles I guess. There is a 5 year time jump between S1 and S2. Seeing how she's 19 but played a 14 yo, I guess it just fits for better or worse.
Probably have to do with his parental instincts due to the first incident at the beginning. Technically she's suppose to be a lesbo so I dunno what they'll do with her in S2.

I guess to even further remove any possible sexual element between Joel and Ellie that would be another element that would mitigate that.
I still think the whole hack Ellie dead for her brain fungus within 20 minutes of receiving her lot was ridiculous.
The first time I saw her, I thought, "She looks just like Ashley Johnson!" Then I found out Ashley Johnson voices the character in the game. Interesting!!!

Ashley Johnson has a unique look. I remember her from Growing Pains and identified her instantly in her, rather small, role in The Avengers.
Bella Ramsey has the same unique facial structure and bears an uncanny resemblance.

She reminds me of a northerner ruler that lives on a forested island, with snowy mountains and rocky shores. The island also has plenty of bears, but is also home to a prominent noble house. This island would be in between the icy coastline of the far north and a warmer continent to the south.
