Considerably Better Than Expected (SPOILERS)

So I just watched this on Hulu, and though there are parts that leave something to be desired, by then end of the film I found myself laughing more than most comedies of today. The ending is certainly played for laughs and with that in mind perhaps some of the bad dialogue found earlier comes with the same intention.

There are awkward points in the setup, but once the ball gets rolling you see a sort of home invasion with a social networking element that does bring about modern horrors. I was genuinely surprised by the conclusion and especially surprised that Monkey lived. Introducing a dog in an R film today means its almost certainly getting killed off to get a cheap reaction out of the audience.

I don't see the girls' motivation as an issue. I knew several girls in high school who very well may have done this.

If those viewing Knock Knock were expecting Fatal Attraction, they may have been disappointed to get such a strong black comedy vibe and down voted. 7/10

Most people dont like Eli Roth's humor. Cabin Fever, Hostel, The Green Inferno, and Knock Knock all have different types of grotesque and twisted comedy. They also require a grasp of the genre to understand the laughs.i enjoy his films, but I admit that they are a sort of dirty midnight pleasure. I think they are kind of spoofs of their respective subgenre of horror. I could understand why people would hate this crap though LOL

I've never seen such bad acting in a long time, never realized Reeves was such a bad actor. Why has he stooped to this... is he broke or something?

Worst movie I seen in a long time, glad I didn't pay for it.

My video review is going up today. He's really wrong for the role, that is if it's supposed to have been played straight. However with the vibe at the ending, and Reeves getting plenty of laughs out of me, I'm not totally convinced that his acting is bad here. He could have been aiming for unconvincing with the unconvincing lines he had, making it funny.

He didn't do anything to the girls, nor does the movie show any history of these two girls... a troubled past, crime partners, etc ect. It just has no meaning.

I appreciated that it wasn't completely obviously contrived. I could see him letting them in out of the rain to call a cab. I could see him throwing their clothes in the dryer while they wait, especially since he seemed to view them in a more fatherly way than as objects of attraction. It was at least somewhat-believable things that set the stage.

Crying helps me slow down and obsess over the weight of life's problems.

Yeah totally agree!
