Cheating on your wife makes you a bad husband, but not a bad father. One reason he caved in is because she refused to give him any on Father's Day! Regardless of what happened, he's still a good dad.

And because he was a weak individual who couldn't think with his brain for that moment. Had he used his brain, he would have done something to end it.
