I enjoyed this film up until the end. The ending really made me mad. I really wanted to see Keanu get revenge on the two girls. I know its not the most realistic but it would have been much more satiating. Despite the entertainment value of this film the whole movie was just one note. Poor Reeves gets tortured again and again. And thats about it. I wanted something else to happen in the third act. But nothing did. They just got away with it.

Completely agree, such a wasted opportunity.

I would have loved to have seen him execute them violently

I don't know if it was in response to the audience backlash against them getting away with it, but there is an alternate ending on the dvd that has him putting on gloves and preparing to get them back as they're working on another guy. I would have liked this movie if that ending had been on there and he was allowed to get his revenge.
