300$ a day

He told her that she could make 300$ a day first time they met

She could keep 20% of what she made, so she would have to make 6.000$ in subscriptions in one day, to keep 300$

Bruh, please.

reply

And who actually reads magazines anymore unless your in Dr's office.

reply

Actually, along with books magazines are as popular as ever. Most people don't like reading on electronic devices and prefer paper magazines and books.

I am the scales of justice! Conductor of the choir of death!

reply

Well to be honest the only reason I go to the doctor's office or other appointments is for the magazines. I may have it backwards though.

I may have just learned a life lesson- mags are for appointments not appointments are for mag reading.

reply

She would need to sell $1,500 to make $300, not $6,000. Each subscription was approx $40, so she'd have to sell 37.5 subscriptions a day to make $300. It's still a lot and unlikely, but not impossible.

reply

Unless it's cash in which case she needs to sell $1200 or 30 subs. ;)

reply

So you just took the number 20 and multiplied that by 300 to get to $6,000? 😅😂😄

reply

I also felt it was unrealistic that people would stay so long at the door to listen to them trying to sell them stuff. I usually close the door after the first 20 sec and most people also do.

reply

Just because you and a lot of people you know do it, it does not mean that most people do it. There a lot of people too polite to do it.

reply

I never said everybody does it. But in that neighbourhood, dressed like they were, it was rather unrealistic. But I'm glad you are a polite person and stay at the door for a long time. Good for you.

I'm just adding to the fact that it is hard to believe that in this day and age, they would succeed to sell 30+ a day. Maybe back in the day, but right now? Hard to believe. Also, there is no way that lady alone with her daughter would have let 2 strangers in just like that.

reply

If you notice, they are hitting up cities in the bible belt and exploiting people who want to help those that are struggling in the name of Jesus.

reply

If people like that knocked on my door I'd answer it gun in hand. Who in the hell would invite obvious trash like that into their home? That's what I found terribly unbelievable.
Does supposed white guilt now extend to having your heart bleed for drug addicted magazine salescum?

reply

Even in the weirdest scenario that they actually ARE in my home, i would also never let them out of my sight, i knew he was a thief. That lady he stole the ring from..what a silly thing to do, leave him alone like that.

reply

I don't open my door to anyone I don't know.

reply

Was this the first time you ever math'd?
