What's with the extremely jarring tonal shift?
I liked the movie fairly well but that tonal shift from the beginning of the movie to the end is very jarring. The first act is literally like a different movie from the third act. It goes from light comedy to a very heavy, depressing finale.
I feel like if the writer(s) had just stayed on track and not tried to suddenly take the story in a serious direction it would've been a better, more entertaining film.
