did FDLS warren really control the police ?

was that added for the movie or did warren /the FDLS really control (or have informants in the police department) the police ?

It's my understanding that the sheriff and dept were members of the FLDS community. Therefore answering to the "prophet".

It's FLDS, not FDLS. As in Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints. Warren Jeffs had his own control over local policeman. Most policeman near Colorado City were polygamists so they were already his followers
