The imdb rating has been TURNED OFF (fixing scores?)

A few hours ago it showed 5.4. Right now it's turned off. It seems they're cleaning non-bad-movies-inclusive votes XDDD

And this only happens with Soylo a Social Justice Wars Story. Other "coming soon" movies keep the rating on.

So it seems that not only Rotten Tomatoes plays the "I'm gonna fake the scores" game.

reply

That's disappointing. I rated it 1 star just yesterday.

reply

Is it out already?!

reply

And you can be sure that it will be back scoring 8+.

Magic!!!

reply

First they pulled the message boards, now they tamper with the ratings. Like true authoritarians, they're silencing our voices any way they know how.

It's disturbing actually.

reply

Hit the nail on the head right there.

reply

Let's see...IMDB is owned by Amazon which will be a streaming competitor for Disney and Rotten Tomatoes is owned by Time Warner also a competitor of Disney's.

Can anyone explain the logic behind these conspiracy theories to me?

reply

Can you explain why you label it as a conspiracy theory?

reply

How else could it be labeled? Just hateful idiots with an unhealthy obsession with how Disney has "ruined" Star Wars like it was doing great shakes before they bought it.
Ha.

reply

Why did you want to label it at all?

reply

Aha. So let me see. You start to argue how it can't be possible that iMDB has taken down the score in the Soylo page, and you call it some conspiracy theory.

Well, wouldn't be easier to go to iMDB page and check it by yourself? It takes like, what? five seconds?. I understand that you think you're too smart to do such a tasteless and rude thing. But you know? Sometimes the quickest way to know if you still have milk in the fridge is to open the fridge and check.

I'd suggest that before labeling as a conspiracy theory and arguing that it didn't happen, you just go to iMDB and check.

reply

What gain does Amazon/ IMDB have in protecting Disney...their streaming competitor?

reply

I already address your question. I have also looked through your posts and I believe you are a shill. This is for everyone to see:

Looks like another crowd-pleaser, guys. There is plenty of runway for this to make boffo box office before Avengers.
Stay tuned!

Nearly 500 million after only two weeks

Not bad at all. Just 200 million more until 700 million.

I am making an abuse report to the admin.

reply

Huh? You truly are a fragile snowflake.

You're going to "report me" for what? Disagreeing with you?

LOL

reply

You're dealing with people who believe that any critic that they disagree with was paid to do so. They are textbook narcissists and there's no hope for them.

reply

Freakish...they are.

reply

Hey queen....

BOMojo released their OW Prediction for DP2......its 138 Million

Bo.com predicting 133 Million (With A possibility of 125 Million)

Man cutting kind of close Huh?

I'm sure you'd much rather Have some more Room here right?

after the 2 weeks rampage you've been posting I'm gonna be wrong, Predictions like this gotta make you panic huh?

wouldn't feel a little more comfortable with 145 M or 147 Million Predictions?

133 and 138 Million is cutting it way to close, If their off by 3 to 5% even....DP2 could come in Lower than DP1....and leave you with maybe your biggest FAIL of all time....claiming victory for 2 weeks, to then have that victory taken from you....

anyways, I bet tomorrows gonna be a hard day for you, especially if Early projection come in around 130 to 135 M....lol your just gonna be sitting at your computer PRAYING late predictions come in higher!

reply

Nope...I'm feeling fine. The only one that appears to be sweating this is you. But thanks for thinking of me!

reply

how can I be sweating when I've admitting for more than 2 weeks I'm gonna be wrong?

queen, this isnt normal....lol you dont know how to WIN....

you dont need to to have come backs anymore or and Try to suggest I'm going to be wrong....I've already admitted it....

I've never seen anything like this, You truly dont know how to WIN...You've spent so much time losing, so much time always having to be on the defensive, Always having to have some kind of excuse.....that You truly do not know how to act when You final Won....

PS....did you see DP2 easily Broke the Midnight Record for an R Rated film with 18 M +...

just doing some Projecting here, But IMO that suggests a 150 Million + OW, Must better than The sites are Predicting, I think your in the clear...

and for the love of god, please dont come back with "oh changing your prediction bill".......I'm simply talking box office now queen, just giving "Forecasts" for based on newest data...

This is not a Prediction, Its just A Forecast.....

reply

You asked me if I was nervous about the projections hovering in the 130-range idiot! Th HIS isn't "normal".

reply

Yes, I can explain easily. Hollywood acts as a cartel. They have gentleman’s agreeement not to step on each other’s feet. That is why movie release dates are coordinated so that two studios do not normally have their big movie open on the same week. Airlines do these kinds of things too.

JJ Abrams produces for Disney and Time Warner both. They have censored ratings in the past for new Star Trek.

reply

Star Trek is Viacom. No...they space out their releases out of self preservation. If they could undermine their competition they would do it every time.

Try again.

reply

You do not understand business. Look this is simple. Imagine two hanmburger stands across the street. If one cuts their prices, then the other has to cut their prices also. That is bad for both of them. That is why they fix prices.

reply

There is no logic behind the conspiracy theories.

reply

Sock account. Reported.

reply

Whatever, guy, you probably use a sock as your girlfriend.

reply

Truth.

But then it's impossible to reason with them. If they were capable of seeing reason, they wouldn't be conspiracy theorists, by definition.

reply

So Amazon doesnt sell most of their movies on BluRays and DVDs anymore, Disney freak?

reply

Along with every other studio's. This is so moronic.

reply

So is Amazon therefor interested in ciritical user reviews? Its the economics, stupid!

reply

Disgusting that they turn off scores now.

reply

Maybe Imdb think it's disgusting that people rate down a movie before they see it. So they lock it out. The movie is not out yet and people are already reviewing it. So they are well within their right to delete reviews.

reply

No. This is wrong. IMDb actually encouraged fraud by allowing early votes in the first place. Dark Knight had about 10,000 10/10 before it was released. They do this with most big budget movies in hopes of boosting the rating due to publicity but sometimes it backfires embarrassingly.

reply

I see. Cause some Disney freaks giving it top scores before release we should disallow ratings. Get a brain, Disney, freak.

For some strange reason I didnt heard your whininig about pre release scores with TLJ. When all the fans gave it almost 10 points, cause they were so happy to see another Star Wars movie. That pre-release scores BTW saved the overall score at most ratings, cause after release the rating at ach and every ranking crashed down like never before.

So .... dear Disney freak, why havent you whined back then?

reply

Perhaps they turned it off because people rated it a ten without seeing it? More of those than there were ones after all.

reply

Oh fuck off. The only ones faking scores are the idiots spamming 1 and 10 ratings without even seeing the film.

reply

No that is not it either. IMDb has algorithms in place for all movies at all times to protect against spam. Ratings are not up to the moment but by the day.

reply

If you rate a film without seeing it, especially rating it in one extreme or the other, that is a fake rating.

reply

No. That is wrong. Sorry. IMDb makes the decision when to start allowing votes. The problem is they are backtracking when they don’t like the results.

reply

How is it wrong?

How is it at all fair to rate a film that you have never seen?

reply

Then ALL votes should be disabled before release for ALL movies. Funny how they don't disable it when everyone floods it with 10s and the rating is in the 9s - now that the result isn't what they want, NOW they disable it.

reply

I don't see you complaining when everyone floods it with 10s before release.

reply

I mentioned 10 ratings in my post you mental midget.

reply

And I don't see you, or anyone else, complaining about them. It's only when they're low that fanboys start complaining, and IMDB doesn't shut the ratings down when they're high... what a coincidence. Get it now? Dumbass.

reply

I. Was. Complaining. About. All. Fake. Ratings. You. Retard.

reply

This is exhausting to read. You're right of course and I think those complaining are only pretending not to understand why IMDB would shut off the ratings for a film like this prior to release. I think it's pretty clear they don't do that for all movies because all movies don't have an army of "fanboys" claiming to love or hate a movie before seeing it. That type of idiocy is reserved mostly for Hollywood blockbusters, particularly superhero and sci-fi films.

reply

I watched the movie in good faith and I rated it as 1 star because I thought it was complete and utter drivel and a disgrace and now I have been blocked by imdb because of that...

reply

I noticed the huge Solo ad and Solo release countdown clock next to it. That low rating is conflicting with the Solo paid advertisement on IMDB.com
